Stipends
To help students attend SAC 2010, we are pleased to announce that two types of stipends will be available.
Student Speaker Stipend
Master and Ph. D students that satisfy the following conditions are invited to apply for a student speaker stipend.
- The applicant must be a Master or Ph. D student on August 12, 2010.
- The applicant must be a named author as well as the presenter of a paper accepted to SAC 2010.
To apply for a student speaker stipend, send an email to sac2010@calliope.uwaterloo.ca with "Student Speaker Stipend" as a subject. In the email,
- please identify the paper that you will be presenting, and
- attach a letter (in pdf format) from your Ph.D. supervisor attesting to both your student status on August 12, 2010 and the fact that you will be presenting the identified paper.
Student Attendee Stipend
Master and Ph. D students who are not presenting a paper can apply for one of the student attendee stipends. Please note that the number of student attendee stipends is very limited. Thus students who have made contributions or have shown considerable promise in the field of cryptography are more likely to be successful with their application.
To apply for a student attendee stipend, send an email to sac2010@calliope.uwaterloo.ca with "Student Attendee Stipend" as a subject. In the email
- please attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (in pdf format), and
- a letter (in pdf format) from your Ph.D. supervisor attesting to your student status on August 12, 2010.
Applications must be received between July 10 and July 20, 2010.
