The 22nd Conference on Selected Areas in Cryptography (SAC 2015) will be held at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, on August 12-14, 2015.

NEW! — In 2015, for the first time, SAC will be immediately preceded by the SAC Summer School (S3), which will run from August 10-12.

Travelling to Sackville, New Brunswick

Note:  Sackville, New Brunswick (NB) is not the same as Sackville, Nova Scotia (NS) !!   (about 2 hours apart by car)

Sackville, NB, is serviced by two international airports:

The Moncton airport is approximately 30 minutes from Sackville by car. Most international visitors travelling to Moncton will pass through a major Canadian hub such as Toronto or Montreal.

  • The local SAC organizers may be able to provide free transportation from/to the Moncton airport for some attendees, depending on arrival times and numbers of passengers. If you are interested in this option, please email: sac2015 at mta.ca
  • There are usually plenty of taxis available at the Moncton airport. We have arranged a one-way fare to Sackville of $70 for 1 person (+ $1 for each extra person) with Air Cab and White Cab (here is the Air Cab / White Cab Price Guarantee flyer). Or you can pre-arrange with Sackville Cab for the following one-way fares: $65 for 1 person, $70 for 2 people ($35 each), $75 for 3 people ($25 each) (here is the Sackville Cab Price Guarantee flyer).
  • There is bus transportation with Maritime Bus from the Moncton airport to Sackville for approximately $20 (one way). Buses leave from the Moncton airport for Sackville three times per day (at 09:30, 14:10, and 18:15). The total trip time is 45 minutes. For this option, you must book your ticket in advance, since buses do not stop at the Moncton airport unless there are guaranteed passengers. (The bus "depot" in Sackville is a convenience store location. From there you can ask the person at the counter to call a local taxi for you ($6 flat rate). You may also be able to walk to your accommodations, since most things in Sackville are close, i.e., a 10-20 minute walk.)
  • In addition, four car rental companies are located in the Moncton airport.

The Halifax airport is approximately 2 hours from Sackville by car. There are many direct flights to Halifax from international airports, although travellers may also pass through major Canadian hubs such as Toronto or Montreal.

  • There is bus transportation with Maritime Bus for approximately $50 (one way). Buses leave from the Halifax airport for Sackville (New Brunswick) three times per day (at 08:00, 12:40, and 16:50). The total bus trip time is 2.5 to 3 hours. (The bus "depot" in Sackville is a convenience store location. From there you can ask the person at the counter to call a local taxi for you ($6 flat rate). You may also be able to walk to your accommodations, since most things in Sackville are close, i.e., a 10-20 minute walk.)
  • Numerous car rental companies are located in the Halifax airport.
