SAC '98

Fifth Annual Workshop on

SELECTED AREAS IN CRYPTOGRAPHY

August 17-18, 1998

Queen's University is hosting the fifth in a series of annual workshops on Selected Areas in Cryptography. Original papers related to the following themes are solicited:

Themes:

  • Design and Analysis of Symmetric Key Cryptosystems
  • Efficient Implementations of Cryptographic Systems
  • Cryptographic Solutions for Internet Security
  • Secure Wireless/Mobile Networks

Submission Information:

Submissions must consist of an extended abstract of at most 15 double-spaced pages, clearly indicating the results achieved, their significance, and their relation to other work in the area. Authors can either email 1 COPY of a Postscript file to SAC98@ee.queensu.ca or send 8 COPIES of the extended abstract to

The deadline for submission of papers is 20 May, 1998. We strongly recommend that you submit Postscript versions of your papers a couple of days before the deadline to allow for difficulties in printing that may arise.

Notification:

Authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of their papers by electronic mail on or before 24 June, 1998. Authors should include their electronic address along with their submission.

Publication:

The Proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag after the Workshop in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Series. The Workshop Record will be available to participants during the Workshop as in previous SACs.

Registration Information:

The Regular registration fee is C$200., and the Student registration fee is C$80. Regular registration includes the Workshop Record, Proceedings (published by Springer) social event, lunches, dinner, and coffee breaks. The Proceedings are not included in student registrations. Accommodations:

Accommodations are available in university residence, single or double room. Off campus Bed \& Breakfast accommodations are also available at the Hochelaga Inn (613-549-5534) \& Rosemount Inn (613-531-8844). More details on housing will be provided on the Registration form.
