Selected Areas in Cryptography (SAC) 2024 and the SAC Summer School will be held on campus at the Université de Québec à Montréal, in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
Location on campus
The SAC Summer School and SAC main conference take place at the the Université de Québec à Montréal, in the Pavillon Sherbrooke, Salle Polyvalente (SH-4800). You can also access the live map.
Welcome reception
We invite all attendees of the conference to join us on August 28 at 6:00 pm for the Welcome Reception at the Espace St-Denis, Marie-Louise room (1594 Rue St-Denis, Montréal). The reception location is approximately ten minutes walk from academic conference venue or the closest subway stop is Berri-UQAM. You can also access the live map.
When you have arrived at Espace St-Denis, the entrance to the Marie-Louise room will be on the right and then you have to take an elevator to access it. Please do not forget also to bring your drink tickets that you have received with your badge as you will need them during the reception.
Conference dinner
Our conference dinner will be held in the ITHQ (Institut de Tourisme et Hotellerie du Québec) in the Mont-Royal room (3535 rue St-Denis, Montréal). Dinner is included in your registration fees and all attendees are invited to join us on August 29 at 7:00PM.
The closest subway stop is Sherbrooke on the orange line or is approximately 15 minutes walk from the academic conference venue. You can also access the live map.
Lunch suggestions
Being located in the center of downtown Montréal, there is quite a lot of options for food. One venue that is not far from the conference location is the OSMO X MARUSAN café (51, rue Sherbrooke-Ouest), which is serving Japanese currys and sandwichs.
There is also two food courts with upgraded choices compared to classical ones, one is le Central (30 rue St-Catherine-Ouest, close to intersection with rue St-Laurent) while the second one is Time Out Market (705, rue St-Catherine-Ouest in the upper level of Eaton Center).
Finally, the Chinese neighbourhood is not far also and there is plenty a good restaurants there.

Visas
Non-Canadian conference attendees should check Canada’s current entry requirements in advance of their travel. In particular, there is a new entry requirement that:
“Visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travelers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.”
